The foundation
De stichting is zelf verantwoordelijk voor behoud, ontwikkeling en exploitatie van het Academiehuis Grote Kerk. Zij wil het Academiehuis met een zo samenhangend en versterkend mogelijk geheel zelfstandig exploiteren.

Stichting Academiehuis Grote Kerk heeft ten doel heeft het algemeen belang te dienen door het bevorderen van de instandhouding van de Grote of Sint Michaëlskerk in de stad Zwolle en de daarin aanwezige interieur delen van historisch en/of cultureel belang; het presenteren van het gebouw en de inventaris aan bezoekers van de stad Zwolle; het organiseren en/of faciliteren van activiteiten die het gebouw actuele culturele, educatieve en/of spirituele betekenis geven.

Art in the High Choir
The Academiehuis is home to The Hoogkoor. Het Hoogkoor is a new stage for professional visual art in the heart of the city. It is also a place for young visual artists working in the Zwolle region to show their work to a large audience. Amazement arises where art interacts with the old city church, the monumental building and with current issues in society.
Valuable Zwolle
Onder de titel ‘Waardevol Zwolle’ organiseert Academiehuis Grote Kerk een groot aantal activiteiten met een eigen karakter en doelstellingen. Met die activiteiten willen we nadrukkelijk aansluiten bij wat het Academiehuis Grote Kerk Zwolle van oorsprong is, aangezien dat van blijvende waarde is voor de stad Zwolle.
Muzikale Muze
The foundation aims to promote the use of the sounding heritage in the municipality of Zwolle in a broad social and cultural context, as well as attention to the work of Zwolle organ builder Franz Casper Schnitger (1693-1729) and his significance for Dutch organ building.
Academiehuis Grote Kerk Zwolle
The purpose of the foundation is to serve the public interest by promoting the preservation of the Grote of Sint Michaëlskerk in the city of Zwolle as a pastoral, diaconal and liturgical heart of and for the city and as a social and cultural center in the center of the city.
Schnitger Organ
The purpose of the Foundation is to serve the public interest by promoting the conservation of the Schnitger Organ (built in 1721) in the Grote or Sint Michaëlskerk in Zwolle, and in connection therewith the preservation of that church building.
