Themastichting Kunst in het Hoogkoor
In het Academiehuis bevindt zich Het Hoogkoor. Het Hoogkoor is een podium voor professionele beeldende kunst in het hart van de stad. Ook voor jonge beeldend kunstenaars die werken in de regio Zwolle is het een plek om hun werk te tonen aan een groot publiek. De verwondering ontstaat daar waar kunst de wisselwerking aangaat met de oude stadskerk, het monumentale gebouw en met actuele vraagstukken in de samenleving.

Missie & Visie
De Michaëlskerk is Academiehuis Grote Kerk Zwolle geworden. Het Academiehuis verbindt, verrijkt en verwondert op het grootste overdekte plein in het centrum van Zwolle.
At Academiehuis is Het Hoogkoor, where the sun rises after night. Het Hoogkoor is a new stage for professional visual art in the heart of the city. It is also a place for young visual artists working in the Zwolle region to show their work to a large audience.
The wonder arises where art interacts with the old city church, the monumental building and with current issues in society.
The exhibitions on view at the High Choir encourage reflection and thought: about ourselves and how we relate to the same art or to cultural and political themes.
Lectures, dialogues and in-depth activities bring further enrichment and connection. The Hoogkoor presents exhibitions of young starting visual artists interspersed with exhibitions of national or international professional artists 4 to 6 times a year.
Compensation Policy
De bestuursleden kunnen uitsluitend werkelijk gemaakte kosten declareren en ontvangen geen beloning.
Stichting Kunst in het Hoogkoor werkt volgens de Governance Code Cultuur en beloningen omtrent kunstenaars wordt conform de Fair Practice Code ingevuld.
